"Alcoholism and Its Effects on the Family." Alcoholism and Its Effects on the Family. N.p., n.d. Web. 27 Feb. 2013. <http://health.uml.edu/thc/HealthIssues/AlcoholismFamilyEffects/default.html>.
This website is about the negative effects alcoholism has on a family. This was mostly just a review of my other websites relating to the effects alcoholism has on a family, but it did have some new information.
"Emotional Effects of Alcoholism on the Family." LIVESTRONG.COM. N.p., n.d. Web. 27 Feb. 2013. <http://www.livestrong.com/article/149302-emotional-effects-of-alcoholism-on-the-family/>.

This did help in my research because I now know why some characters in the two books I read had different feelings toward the alcoholic in their family.
Fuller, Alexandra. Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight. New York: Random House Trade Paperbacks, 2001. Print.
This book tells about a white family who moves all over Africa during the fight for independence. The mother is an alcoholic and this affects her children and has an impact on their lives. This was a good resource to relate my research to because I could use examples from this book and compare them to facts.
Hussong, Andrea M., Wenjing Huang, Daniel Serrano, Patrick J. Curran, and Laurie Chassin. "Testing Whether and When Parent Alcoholism Uniquely Affects Various Forms of Adolescent Substance Use." Proquest. N.p., Nov. 2012. Web. 25 Feb. 2013.
This database article was about whether or not children take after their alcoholic parent(s) and why children get involved in drinking at a young age. This did help in my research because it explains why some children end up following in their parents footsteps and can never get away from their family troubles because it’s all they know.
Morrow, Deborah. "The Causes of Alcoholism." The Alcoholism Guide. N.p., 2012. Web. 28 Feb. 2013. <http://www.the-alcoholism-guide.org/causes-of-alcoholism.html>.
This website talks about the “blame game” and how alcoholics tend to think everyone and everything else other than themselves are the causes of their problems. This website helped me in my research because it helped me link why the alcoholic characters in my two books had extreme tempers and how they would do anything to get what they wanted.
Nurnberger, John I., Jr., Tatiana Foroud, Leah Flury, Eric T. Meyer, and Ryan Wiegand. "Is There a Genetic Relationship between Alcoholism and Depression?" Proquest. N.p., 2002. Web. 25 Feb. 2013.
This database article explained whether or not alcoholism was linked to depression. This information did help me in my research because I am now able to understand which event in my two books may have triggered the characters to turn into alcoholics.
Parsons, Tetyana. "Alcoholism and Its Effect on the Family." AIIPsych Journal. N.p., 14 Dec. 2003. Web. 28 Feb. 2013. <http://allpsych.com/journal/alcoholism.html>.

Plyler, Brett. "Alcoholism." Academic World Book. World Book, 2013. Web. 28 Feb. 2013.
This database article gave an overview on the topic of alcoholism and explained what it is. This was very helpful in my research because I used this credible database to double check and compare the facts I got from other sources.
